City Link ASCAR runners were joined by an assortment of GT and Modified Saloons
in race five. David Ellis had no real trouble once more, dictating the race from
the front in his Aston Martin although he was chased pretty hard by Jim Mensley
in his Rover Vitesse. Steve Cole was third all race, his TVR 420 well adrift of
the leading pair at the flag but more than half a second ahead of Gary Wills
(Camaro) and Peter Briars (Capri) who fought for fourth place all race.
